The Beastie Boys true to form on Jimmy Fallon

MUSIC NEWS - The BEASTIE BOYS have announced autumn 2009 new album release plans, a batch of reissues and shows at several major music festivals this summer. On Monday, BB let loose the news of the release of Hot Sauce Committee , their eighth studio album, while appearing on NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (see clip below from the show). So the Beastie Boys have announced the title of their new album: 'Hot Sauce Committee', they've just remastered 'Check Your Head' and 'Paul's Boutique' and released all sorts of goodie packs surrounding those two remasters and they went on Jimmy Fallon's show the other night to begin their promo. Glad to see they're still going strong!

It's crazy to say, but in the current times we can officially call the Beastie Boys old school. The Beastie Boys dropped by Jimmy Fallon the other night to plug the reissue of Check Your Head , which is a very(!) close second to Paul's Boutique for my favorite B-Boys record. I will say this, though-"So What'cha Want" is definitely one of my favorite all-time cuts. Period. And this rendition with The Roots-very tasty. Here's the performance from last night's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon". The Beastie-Beastie Boys, backed by house band The Roots performed a cut off of Check Your Head entitled "So What'cha Want" to promote the deluxe remaster of the album . As previously reported , the Beastie Boys also have a new album in the works. Not much was mentioned on the show other than that it's called Hot Sauce Committee and is due out in September. Yup, that's exactly what the marketing/hype machine heating up sounds like, instrumental led by the Roots following three white boys(men) rapping at Jimmy Fallon. The Beastie Boys are on a roll to promote the fact that they're going to be around all summer long doing festivals including Montreal own Osheaga. Be there or be square.
