Kottke posted this amazing video from 1979 of an interview with Tom Waits on an Australian television show. Once you hear his delivery and watch his mannerisms I think it's more than fair to wonder if Heath Ledger stumbled across this same clip in his preparation to play the Joker in The Dark Knight . Has anyone out there read anything that might corroborate this or is it just a really eerie coincidence?
