Less than a week to the 1234 Festival , in the Shoreditch park. A line-up of 50 odd bands for a full day of futuristic rock. Retro-pop artist, DJ and producer Mark Ronson has been in the studio with garage-rock band The Black Lips . Ronson produced their sixth studio album Arabia Mountain to be released in June on Vice Records. The majority of the 16 tracks were recorded in 10 days in Brooklyn. I've been watching this video from the Black Lips ,"Drugs", several times over the week. Drugs are bad m'kay, and not limited to any particular age demo. They will completely strip your baseball talent, cause you to aimlessly skip into two random bros carrying a two x four (randomly) and lessen coordination from five year old cabinet scaling.

Atlanta bubblegum-garage rockers The Black Lips recently fired up their email machine to find a fan-made video for 200 Million Thousand stand-out "Drugs" awaiting them. Like the unsolicited clip for Good Bad Not Evil's "Bad Kids" -- a sly vid that juxtaposed images from The Troubles in Northern Ireland with a bouncing-ball onscreen display of the song's anarchic lyrics -- "Drugs" finds footage from cautionary 70's Health Class videos playing behind the band's celebration of youthful hedonism. [mp3] Black Lips: "Starting Over" While we may not love all of the Black Lips' new album, this video for the song "Drugs" is pretty great, and the tune is one of the better songs off the album. Sorry kids, there's just too much filler on that record for us. The Black Lips will be part of a great bill this weekend at the Williamsburg Waterfront which includes Health , ...
