This column is a giant pile of puke. Before you gag, know that it is a jumbled mess of Flying Lotus, Crystal Castles, Animal Collective, Four Tet, Rustie, and a few others. So it's good vomit, the best really. And fresh, still warm. But enough about nausea. All these long time players have been fitting some new music in between the summer festival uproar, and it seems like everyone is taking their own pathway. Starting with a new track from the roughly ethereal and utterly creepy duo Crystal Castles , 'Plague' was recently released. Crystal Castles [...]
Hot Chip's "Look at Where We Are" gets two major remixes, one from Major Lazer and the latest from none other than Four Tet. Brice Ezell said of the original tune back in June, "Where the core of Hot Chip's In Our Heads can be found is in the slower, more reflective tracks. "Look at Where We Are" is a real beauty, and a noticeable departure in being driven primarily by guitar than synthesizer. That song, along with "How Do You Do?" also reflects the continued lyrical interest the band has with Eastern spirituality.

hot chip - how do you do? though i'm not as enamored with this album as their previous releases, you can always count on hot chip to make kooky videos to accompany their tracks. in this case it's so nerd-tastic that you can't help but have a smile on your face while bopping to this dorky disco jam! want more hot chip craziness? check out this random video for the lovely track 'look at where we are' done with the creators project hot chip - [...]

Major Lazer has just dropped a pair of remixes to Hot Chip's "Look At Where We Are" both of which carry heavy reggae influence and feature a collaboration with reggae artist Junior Blender. Both versions are dangerously addictive and I guarantee you'll have a hard time not playing these out on your iTunes.
If there's one thing I appreciate about Major Lazer , it's the variety of sounds that Major is able to work with. Teaming up with Junior Blender , who hails from Germany, they create a reggae remix of Hot Chip 's "Look At Where We Are". Hot Chip's original song has a very dreamy sound which fits in quite perfectly with the lyrical content of the track, but this remix reinvents the original to a more playful state. For me, I envision the track demonstrating a flirtatious scene between a guy and girl in which the mood [...]

Major Lazer is such a unique blend of reggae infused party music produced by Diplo. Today I've got a HUGE summer banger, and Major Lazer flips the indie pop group Hot Chip 's single "Look At Where We Are" and loads it full of reggae, electronic fused jungle magic making for a track I haven't been able to stop replaying. I'm convinced Diplo isn't capable of making anything short of gold. Turn this up, and will keep you posted when the download get's released. If you are unfamiliar with Hot Chip, give "I Feel Better" [...]

Major Lazer hasn't missed a beat in the past few months, offering up release after release which are nothing if not quality. Their new remix of Hot Chip's 'Look At Where We Are' is no exception; following in the footsteps of the mellow but equally emotional and hypnotic single Get Free, the remix offers a reggae and percussion-based take on Hot Chip's haunting melody. This is just the sort of indirect release that will only help to ramp up the excitement for Major Lazer's forthcoming somophore album release. It's also the [...]
Uncompromising swagger is brought again by Major Lazer, as they remix Hot Chip's latest single of their In Hour Heads album, "Look At Where We Are". A soothing track that carries the original vocals all the way through with technical drum loops in a trap-like manner without just overbearing the track. Listen below. No word on release date just yet. Hot Chip is on tour now in N.A. Hot Chip - Look At Where We Are (Major Lazer Remix)

Articulos relacionados: [...]

Last night Radio One debuted a brand new remix from Major Lazer of Hot Chip 's track, "Look At Where We Are". As to be expected Major Lazer have given the track a kick up the backside and turned it into an energetic little number worthy of an early morning dance. Check it out above.

Diplo just doesn't stop does he? I swear 2012 has already been an insane year for the DJ/producer and this time forming a new remix under his Major Lazer project. This time he remixed "Look At Where We Are" by Hot Chip , which was off their latest album. The original song is quite soft and nothing crazy, but Major Lazer turned into an irresistible party jam. Diplo and Switch retouch the In Our Heads track.

Hot Chip received the remix treatment from Switch and Diplo's Major Lazer project for In Our Heads track, "Look At Where We Are". They take the electronic, synthpop track and put their usual reggae spin on it to take to another level. Listen below.
Diplo may very well be one of the most prolific and experimental producers in dance music today. He has fostered countless artists with his Mad Decent label, created intense dancehall anthems, embraced the moombahton movement, and now he takes a shot at the up-and-coming trap sound. We'll be honest, up until Dillon Francis touched trap music we thought it was just obnoxious noise and now Diplo decides to experiment with trap the same way he did with moombahton. When we first heard this track on BBC 1 this morning we were shocked. Major Lazer remixing an [...]

Major Lazer takes a track from Hot Chip and remixes the funk out of it. “Look At Where We Are,” was one of the slower tracks off of In Our Heads, but Diplo have no trouble putting their thumb print on the track in a big way.
