One of the absolute best producers right now (and for a while back too) Goldroom is back with a remix of next big thing, Citizens! Kitsuné released the remix earlier today. A month or so back, Goldroom treated us to a bone shaking remix of Niki and the Dove's primal 'Mother Protect' - turning the lean pop of the original into a floor filler of gargantuan proportion. They return with this lean re-work of London based newcomers Citizens who, on their own merit, have been impressing us for a good while now with their charity shop chic and bedsit pop nuggets. Citizens! are an instantly catchy indie/dance-pop, band out of London. I would classify their sound as a Franz Ferdinand meets The Rapture with a little bit of David Bowie thrown in the mix. Their newest single 'Reptile' will be released March 19th on Kitsune Records , and it offers an outstanding, refreshing new sound. Go back a few months and check out older single 'True Romance', and it also delivers in a big way. This song contains our favourite lyric of 2012 (so far - it's still only February). The song is called 'Reptile' and it's by Citizens . It's a bit of a mix of Bowie, Sound Of Arrows and the songbook of Space. We don't really like the first thirty seconds, but after that it goes amazong. There's also a duck in the video. A DUCK! New track by Hipster bands CITIZENS! After their debut single and nice track "True Romance" in 2011, these kitsuné protégés are back with "Reptile". Above you can check out the video. The track itself will be out on February 13th (via Kistuné). Expect another sing-a-long poptune with a lot of 80s vibes, and a Hot Chip/nerdy touch. Pretty amusing tune.
