Last Tuesday I wrote passionately about Ruiri Coogan in the Ruby Tuesday feature: "We seen Ruairi [pronounced roar-ri] Coogan at the backroom sessions in Navan on the 16th March where he played four songs in an open mic session. Ruairi is not your typical singer-songwriter and certainly not the character Damien Rice sings about in the song 'Childish'. He has a friendly stage presence and great image. The tunes reminded me alot of Jasan Mraz with hints of the folky pop of Jack Johnson sung by a voice that brought to mind Chris Cornell on the Temple of [...]
