Belispeak is the new single from Purity Ring's highly anticpated debut album, Shrines - out July 24.

Purity Ring   are set to unleash the debut project Shrines on July 24th via 4AD and the duo just surfaced their clip for "Belispeak," which is also featured on the upcoming album. Vocalist Megan James is trapped in some sort of swamp that includes monsters and gets captured in the end, it's creepy and intriguing at the same time just like the music Purity Ring makes. I don't find myself posting videos too often, but whatever Purity Ring touches seems to hold me completely spellbound. Earlier today, they released a video for "Belispeak," the first single off their forthcoming album Shrines, which is set for release on July 24th through 4AD/Last Gang. Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring  just dropped the video for their first single "Belispeak," off their highly anticipated debut album Shrines out July 24th via 4AD. There's something about Purity Ring 's "Belispeak" that chills you to the bone as much as it appeals to your pop sensibilities. Perhaps that's a sign of good witch-house. The Montreal duo's video for the track achieves similar effect, dropping front woman Megan James into an eerie, blue-lit swamp as she undergoes some twisted, Kafkian metamorphosis. Out of every Purity Ring song I've heard, this is the one I've wanted to see a video for most. It's not that "Belispeak" is the obvious choice as a first single, because I might list " Ungirthed " or " Obedear " as a little more immediate. Purity Ring has released a mysterious new video for "Belispeak", which finds the band's Megan James wading her way through a swamp in search of one ridiculous neckpiece. BREWER (of "Brothers" fame) served as director, and you can watch the clip below. "Belispeak" serves as the lead single to Purity Ring's upcoming debut, Shrines , due out July 24th via 4AD. A couple weeks prior, the band will appear at our official kickoff party for Forecastle Festival 2012 .
