Yes, Ryan Gosling ( The Notebook actor for ladies, Half Nelson actor for film buffs) has a band with Zach Shields called Dead Man's Bones and you've probably heard that before. But, have you seen this video yet? It's for the song "Dead Hearts" and it follows an animated wishbone as it pulls you along a weirdly plastic Pleasantville. I'll vouch for it, plus I hear Arcade Fire love in there, so I will give a huzzah to that as well.

Dead Man's Bones directed it themselves and it features "Machine With Wishbone", a moving sculpture created by artist Arthur Ganson.

Stopped by Dead Man's Bones' video release show for "Dead Hearts" last night at a sold-out Silent Movie Theatre. The video was somewhat nervously introduced by the band's two frontmen Zach Shields and Ryan Gosling (as if they weren't aware they'd be asked so many questions by the night's regular proprietor Jerry Beck) who both also directed the video with help by sculpture artist Arthur Ganson

Weirdly creative and subtly creepy is how I can describe the music video for Dead Man's Bones' song titled Dead hearts. There is a good chance you have already heard them, just not as indie musicians. Dead Man's Bones consist of actors Ryan Gosling (The Notebook) and Zach Shields. Originally intended to be a horror-themed musical, Zach and Ryan turned into the very dark but strangely intriguing self titled album "Dead Man's Bones" released today October 6th.
