British band The Klaxons have been with us for approximately 5 years now, members: Jamie Reynolds (bass, vocals) James Righton (keyboards, vocals) Simon Taylor-Davies (guitar) and Steffan Halperin (drummer). Forming in 2005 the band worked on "Gravity's Rainbow" their first album which was released on 29 March 2006 on Angular records. The band injected a new sound into popular culture, being

Over time hit songs seem to be recycled by anyone and everyone in the form of a cover. Some butcher a brilliant track, while others have the uncanny knack of 'making it their own' (apologies for borrowing an overused Australian Idol cliché). We've decided to pick out a few of the lesser known covers, or perhaps songs you didn't even know were covers in the first place! You've Got The Love Original: The Source Ft. Candi Staton - You've Got [...]

A bit of good ole England. Generally not my style of music, but somehow now being in Southern Cali im missing the catchy "Brit Indie Rock" music which i used to hear so much in my car in the UK. Radio here in the US is a bit different...almost disappointing in comparison to [...]
Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I've been locked in a week-long battle with Windows Vista that threatens to shake the earth with its fury. Anyways, I've been meaning to post about the video for 'Magick' by Klaxons ever since I saw it on a special Halloween episode of Subterranean. Then I got to thinking about all the other Klaxons videos and realized that they're all pretty darn good. While 'It's Not Over Yet' and 'Golden Skans' both suffer from kinda being the same video ('Oi! Let's break stuff in slow motion, mates!'), they're both still pretty good. [...]
Reissued CD`s will occasionally reignite your interest in Rock & Pop classics , most compilations simply just tidy the treble, boost the bass & generally dust off the cover. Salvo Music in association with Fly Records are to release deluxe 2-CD Anniversary editions of the classic bands first two albums `Move` & ` Shazam` . The Move, British under-rated psychedelic anarchists , unfortunately or not remembered for [...]
It`s official , Carter USM can add an`ology` to their long list of exploits , trails & tribulations. Our almost `comic book like` indie heroes have a new (in sense & purposes) double CD anthology `You Fat Bastard` released through EMI towards mid-October , wonderfully timed to coincide with Jim Bob & Fruit Bat`s two night musical reunion in Glasgow & London. . . The emphasis being placed recently on live shows & heavy touring has certainly given bands like `Grace Potter And The Nocturnals`more of a creative edge , whether perfecting their sound in rehearsals or finalising arrangements on the new record , we are almost gifted with some pure bred rock & roll. The album `This Is Somewhere` seems a fabulous achievement for the twenty-four year old Grace Potter and her Vermont based band , you`re immediately taken in with the first track`Ah Mary`, cleverly commercial & very subtlety pointing your ears in the right direction. It`s not [...]
