Hard to believe, but our BrooklynVegan "Blog Radio" show has been airing weekly on satellite radio for over 6.5 years. It started on Sirius which them merged with XM and became SiriusXM. This is the video for the Nas single, “Daughters”. Truthfully most hip hop videos fall way short of anything that can be considered “art”, and usually take on the cliche of barely naked girls, alcohol, and cars. Nasir Jones is unlike most rappers though, and really helps put out an awesome and unique concept that can really hit home with a lot of people. Every single lyric bleeds with honesty and uncertainty, and it’s a great thing to hear when rappers can let loose their “bad boy” persona, and be extremely emotional about the ones they care about. Contrairement à d'habitude où NAS apparait comme un dur à cuir qui deal, copule et claque du fric à tout va, il a préféré nous balancer un clip entrant plus dans sa vie personnelle pour ce titre dédié à sa fille Destiny Jones . Troisième titre tiré de son album « Life is Good » à paraitre en juillet chez Def Jam , « Daughters » est plus douce que « Nasty » et « The Don » , mais pas pour autant moins bonne. Très bonne [...]
I'm not the biggest Nas fan ( I really like his father's music), But I love this song.
