The accompanying video for Nas ' heartfelt track "Daughters" serves as a fitting visual narrative of the veteran emcee's detailed autobiographical od e to fatherhood. Captured from the viewpoint of Nas' daughter Destiny, the video follows Nas' daughter from birth, adolescence and the ever-turbulent and formative teenage years. The video captures the different stages of Destiny's life as well as her father's career as Nas raps and reflects on his shortcomings as a father and how his profession and lifestyle negatively impacted his parenting skills and the relationship with his daughter. Jolz Sunday with a she-friend, cooked us some stuffed peppers, now some hip-popping via the NAS ' touching new video, DAUGHTERS .
My favorite rapper, Nas, hooks up with my favorite music director, Chris Robinson , to create this dope visual for his latest single, " Daughters ." Dope concept on this one and I like how Destiny's cameo wasn't forced. Although Nasir's baby's mom was " disappointed " in him for penning a song about their daughter's most recent public troubles, I'm digging the song and think the video came out perfect. Only thing that could make this record any better is if Nas did a remix featuring Jay-Z and Eminem. How dope would that be? Nas' 10th [...]

Let's be honest. Nas hasn't had a "hit" record since 2006 with "Hip Hop Is Dead". He's well overdue to make something that gets him back in rotation on the radio. While "Nasty" should have been the song to do that, it's more likely to be this "Daughters" track. Nas on some parenthood drama. It's not better than the Jay track about becoming a father, but when is Nas better than Hov? I just said that to get you mad. NAS - DAUGHTERS
