Ode aan een levende dode

Jackson Five - Can You Feel It

The Jacksons -- I can feel it

Jackson Five - Can You Feel It
I vented a little yesterday on the exploitation of Michael Jackson's death. It was like they were putting him up on a pedestal for a week in order to tear him down (perhaps deservedly so) next week. Dave Abravanel, a music critic at CokeMachineGlow , reflecting on the importance of Off the Wall, suggested the media has become fixated on which Michael Jackson was to be remembered--the child pop star of the 60 and 70's combined with his later pop transcendance in the 1980's or his "wacko jacko" phase. I for one don't [...]

IFLTS: 'Can You Feel It'

Jackson Five - Can You Feel It
Filed under: I Freakin' Love This Song 'Can You Feel It,' the Jacksons From 1980's ' Triumph ' With a choral opening so grand you could be fooled into thinking you're listening to an altogether loftier genre, you hardly have time for a breath before 'Can You Feel It' locks into that familiar disco-infused groove. Vocals are handled by Randy and Michael , with the latter's signature whoops lighting the whole thing up and sending shivers down the spine. I love this song because [...]

Michael Jackson RIP

Jackson Five - Can You Feel It

R.I.P.

Jackson Five - Can You Feel It
Wow, what a weird day.So first, Farrah Fawcett dies, and even though I knew it was coming (when Ryan O'Neal started talking to the press a few days ago about trying yet again to get her to marry him, I figured the end was nigh), I guess I hadn't thought it was going to happen quite so soon.As a lot of my readers are in their late 30s or 40s, I know a lot of you all are as familiar with the two
