I'm sure you've seen it before and you'll see it again, but the Arcade Fire , one of Montreal's best and most celebrated bands, are BACK! Well, they will be soon. Details are slim and slowly leaking out (then being rejected, only later to be confirmed...). But what we know is this: a postcard (below) from the band to 'The Internet' is on their site and it speaks of a new 123 coming out soon, 'God willing'. (Universal) Good old Arcade Fire . You have to hand it to them, they do like to have their cake and eat it. Throughout the duration of Mirror Noir they seem to go to great lengths to present themselves as artistic and commercial outsiders, operating in their own time and space. Yet look into purchasing said DVD though and, ta da, there's your opportunity to shell out for a deluxe version featuring extra footage from various TV performances. La blogothque has done it again: a unique, personal, live show by the biggest indie band in the world right now: Arcade Fire. If anyone has any doubt why this band is big right now, check this video out. It's mind blowing. Kudos to monsieur la blogotheque (Vincent Moon) for this, and even for someone who isn't a huge fan of Neon Bible (Arcade Fire's recent album) this video - 15 minutes with arcade fire, a performance of Neon Bible and of Wake Up, is just astounding.
