I'm not typically one to enjoy your run-of-the-mill music video that merely shows the band performing, but it's hard to not like this video. Warpaint consists of three quite attractive ladies who like to perform in the most seductive of ways, and who are supported by an outstanding percussionist. The excellently named Los Angelino band, Warpaint, has debuted a music video for their single "Elephant". The track appears on Warpaint's Exquisite Corpse EP, which I encourage you all to listen to (below) and possibly purchase. Recent Rough Trade addition War Paint have put together a video for one of their tracks off of the recently released and rather fantastic John Frusciante-produced 'Exquisite Corpse EP'. Elephant stands as track two from the CD and is probably one of the darkest to boot.

Slow motion's a speed that works well for Warpaint, a trio of L.A. ladies and a drummer guy trading in gauzy, darkened post-punk hypnotica. Their video for "Elephants" matches framerates with the dreamy Lynchian clip they delivered for the quietly anxious " Stars ," but here they're dressed in Stevie Nicks lace scattered across a bare performance space. Director Bruce Miller portrays them well, laconic and ethereal with a certain sorceress' force, just as likely to break your heart as to be cast in a remake of The Craft .
