Last Thursday, I was cordially invited to see Minneapolis' now relatively established indie rock crew Now, Now (formerly Now, Now Every Children). After a series of opening-set tours, and a spot on Jimmy Fallon, they've return to Denver on their second headlining tour, their first in a few years. I picked up their first release back in '08 and found it nothing short of charming and heartwarming, and was excited to see how their new material would stand up live. After two openers who did nothing but cause concern for the outcome of [...]
We're still bubbling over with excitement about the March 2nd SXSW Send-Off Party that we announced yesterday. However, there is still work to be done, and there are lots of shows to catch before the party. So, let's get down to brass tacks (what the hell does that mean, anyway? yes, I know I could look it up to provide some trivial insight on your Friday morning, but I have spent the past week working too many hours to do that. Fine, here .) err... sorry for the non-sequitur, let's talk about what is going on [...]
Hop Along and Kite Party will be performing tonight at The Fire. ![Review: Now Now - Threads [Album]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4482123_lg.jpg)
Since supporting Paramore in the UK and releasing their sophomore effort in the states earlier this year the excellent and awkwardly named Now Now have been racking up the fans and with their hazy wide eyed indie rock it’s no wonder. Now Now aren’t unique or special and tracks like ‘Prehistoric’ ironically sound just that, but they do the whole revivalist thing well and with their own dreamy spin successfully earmark themselves as ones to watch. So, they sound like a few other bands a [...]
After leaving Afternoon Records and self-releasing 20112s Neighbors EP, the Minneapolis indie rockers in Now, Now have just issued the new Threads via the Trans label. The album showcases the trio's growth as both musicians and songwriters. Watch the video for lead single "Thread" below.
Now, Now 's "Thread" video is appealing for it's use of fluorescent lights. We haven't seen them used in a way this interesting since Dan Flavin. The jarring effect is very cool. And we advise you to check it out above. Now, Now tour dates: May 29 - Portland, OR - Roseland Theatre May 31 - Phoenix, AZ - Mesa Arts Center June 01 - Ventura, CA - Ventura Theatre June 02 - San Luis Obispo, CA - SLO Brewing Company June 05 [...]
Whilst I sort me some breakf and return to bed, I'd like for you to watch the NOW, NOW 's awesome new video, THREAD . You'll immediately fall in love with the NYC trio and their newest toon will fill your pained heart with joy.
Floppy-haired Indie Pop children are a dimeadozen in the music-scape, all eagerly seeking to be misunderstood the most. And it's rare to find the talent behind the musings and the secret foreheads. But Now, Now have the talent, the songwriting chops, and the ability to inspire jealousy to become a gem in your back pocket. In [...]

Now, Now have released a new video for " Thread " from their new album, Threads , that dropped this past March. The new album was produced by Death Cab for Cutie's Chris Walla and was one of the best albums to come out in March. I see the band getting picked up by a major label real soon. Watch Now, Now's video for " Thread " below. Read more »
