Born Karin Elisabeth Dreijer Andersson, Fever Ray has been wooing us with her adorable and incredibly versatile voice for almost a decade now. She began her commercial career as guitarist and lead vocalist for alt-rockers Honey is Cool before gaining much noteriety as one half of the explosive (and similarly versatile) electronic duo The Knife. Last year, Fever Ray released her self-titled solo debut to great critical acclaim. But that isn't much Fever Ray's style. Notoriously critical of the mainstream music scene and the media, Fever Ray and brother Olof Dreijer (second half of The Knife) wear masks for public appearances [...]

Wondering where your Saturday throwback is? Well, as part of our new format (at least one song per day), I've decided not to limit myself to certain types of songs on certain days. So now I can mix it up all the time. As a big fan of both Fever Ray and Brazilian DJ duo The Twelves , I'm not really sure how I missed this remix last year when it blew up all over the blogosphere. It's especially weird since I've actually posted the original of this song [...]
Fever Ray won best dance artists at Sweden's P3 Guld Awards and gave this pretty creepy acceptance speech. She had a melted face mask and decided to moan rather than give a speech. Way to be creepy Fever Ray! Gotta love her! I am a few weeks late on this, but if I missed it, I'm sure one or two of you may have as well...
Posts relacionados: [Video] "This [...]
Rocks Off has been holding onto this little nugget of mind-blowing YouTube brilliance all week, waiting for the proper opportunity to use it. If you haven't seen it, underneath all that makeup is... Fever Ray @ Webster Hall in September ( more by Ryan Muir ) Commissioned by Danish performance group Hotel Pro Forma to write the music for their opera based on Charles Darwin and his book 'On the Origin of the Species', The Knife decided to make this a collaborative process, working with artists Mt. Sims and Planningtorock for the first time, to capture the huge width of the Darwin and evolution theme. They extensively researched [...]
Karin Dreijer Andersson sure knows how to make an entrance! This is video of The Knife/Fever Ray's lead vocalist accepting her award at Sweden's P3 Guld award show in Sweden mocking Lady Gaga's and the outfit she wore at September's...
Oh. Hmm. Yep. Well, next best thing to a new Knife album, I guess.
Fever Ray, the solo project of The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson receives the prize for the year's best dance artist at P3 Gold in Gothenburg. In this video, she proves that Lady Gaga isn't the only pop star who can do weird shit at award shows. I'm not sure what the point is, but I like it. I'd rather see this than see some glammed up celeb thanking a bunch of people that I don't know. Fever Ray - Seven | YouSendIt Pigeons and Planes

chance is high you have already seen this...in case you didn't and to make us more complete here it is again: Fever Ray has officially ended the sad decade of money grabbing, Satan's cock sucking pop stars. (yes, please cross off 'girl kissing girl' and 'tit hanging out' from your how to get attention in the media list. also...We don't need more award shows...pass it on) click here to watch Subscribe to EYHO Blog - [...]
Sadly the Portland Music Awards are a complete and total scam run by shady characters-and I'm not just saying this because Meredith Brooks canceled-but if there was a worthwhile award show event here in town, Fever Ray really should win something. I don't care if Karin Dreijer Andersson is Swedish and not from here, that is the single greatest acceptance speech ever. [ Subscribe to the comments on this story ]
We get Gaga, the Sweedes get Fever Ray. It's just not fair.
Here is Fever Ray's Karin Dreijer Andersson accepting an award at Sweden's P3 Guld public radio award show. Her um, inspired outfit looks like the result of a nightmare mashup of a Shriner, a Greek Orthodox bishop and the always feared actualization of way, way too many psychedelics.

I got a gal pal named Keisha who recently pointed out to me that thugs are #1. Which is kind of true. Actually it's really true. Last night was spent helping her troll through Chicago's Craigslist for thug boyfriends who will treat a bitch good but isn't afraid to have a yelling match in public outside my local 7-11 (Did you know most 7-11's are safe zones? I just found this out the other day while buying cigs and a double gulp. Hells yeah!). Basically, she's looking for a hyper-man. And I'm jumping aboard this ship cause I'm done with [...]
Why can't American awards shows be more like this? Below is a video of Fever Ray's Karin Dreijer Andersson giving her acceptance speech at the P3 Guld award show in Sweden. People are sitting in squares, the set design looks the face of a Swatch, most people are wearing red, and instead of a woman in a dress acting as a veritable stage prop, there are man-twins in matching suits. Scandinavia continues to rule in all sorts of ways. And then there's Fever Ray's speech itself. Literally, it's beyond [...]
