I titled this post, Nutted By Reality, because at this point of Nick Lowe's career, every one step forward ended up two steps back. Each album put him on the verge of stardom, only to have manager or personal problems that caused momentum to sputter. Perhaps his greatest downfall was his self-admitted alcoholism, which he thankfully eventually gained control of.
