The Swedes join forces.

A group of Swedish artists, including Miike Snow, Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn and John, and The Teddybears, have formed a new collective/record label called Ingrid. According to an official statement , the organization was "created over numerous cups of pitch black coffee at Mellqvist's in Stockholm" with the intention of "creating straight from the heart right to the people without any middle hands," thus affording artists an "opportunity for creation, collaboration, and compilation sonically and visually." Watch two promotional films for Ingrid below. Each of the artists participating in Ingrid will continue work with their existing record labels.

Sweden is already dominating the indie pop scene. Maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the culture, maybe it's their undeniably superior genetic make-up.
