The pretty fucking terrifying video Romain Gavras- directed video for French house act Justice 's new single "Stress" has been condemned as racist, and banned from broadcast by the French goverment. Which, frankly, makes absolutley no sense. The video depicts a gang of youths enacting some Clockwork Orange -style ultraviolence upon unsupsecting people, keying cars, fighting policeman and generally being a nuisance. I'm assuming the "objectionable" content is the fact that some of the gang members are black, which is a negative stereotype; however, there are also white and Asian [...]
Unless you've been on a deserted island the last few days, you should have seen the video for Justice - Stress . If you haven't, here it is - almost seven minutes of Justice madness, supported by a violent video. A perfect fit! This wouldn't be NOISE PORN though if we didn't throw in something else - the exclusive Marcus Schossow Remix of the very same banger. It's rave, it's big room, and it's peak time. [...]
"Stress" is a very disturbing and violent video but I love it and hope that they will make a whole film about it. Great photo and I think that we will se lots more of the director Romain Gavras in the future. It's far away from how Justice started their carer with "We are your friends".
Uh, I've been working the whole weekend because of that damn rent that you have to pay every month. Today I was kind of free do and what's better to do with your time then to meet an old friend over a coupe of coffee. We talked about life, age, existents, control needs and future. It was the nicest moment of an eternity and it proves that there's nothing better then a good conversation, thanks! Otherwise the pep of Made-festival and the last UBC at TC is what's going on. I never thought this thing would last [...]
West did something pretty useful on his blog last week, too. He premiered a new video from Justice. It's been everywhere on the internet since and some people are freaked out about the violent imagery, but I think it's pretty cool. read more
Shortly after newly founded electro go-to boy Kanye West debuted Justices new video for Stress from their debut album + on Thursday via his official site, it massively circulated itself onto music blogs everywhere. Some fans loved it, marking it a master piece of director Romain Gavras work. Others deemed it a series of useless violence and missed the point completely. I, on the other hand, was nothing short of utterly confused
Yeah, it's another one of those guilty pleasures (confirmed by the amazon page for the album, its tags include "Worst of 2008"). What can I say? I think the song has an honest message, or, if not that, at least a message I believe in. Half the time the world is ending Truth is I am done pretending. I, never thought that I Had anymore to give You're pushing me so far Here I am without you. Drink, to all that we have lost, Mistakes we have made. Everything will change, But love remains [...]
