What a great start to the new week with Matt & Kim returning to their piano/synth driven pop music in the newest single, "Let's Go." This is the first single off the upcoming album titled Lightning , and this is pretty much exactly what you'd expect to hear from the duo. Today, Matt and Kim release “Let’s Go”, the first track off Lightning, their upcoming album out this fall on FADER Label. Recorded and self-produced in Brooklyn, “Let’s Go” is the band’s first original music to be issued in 2012.

Last week indie pop duo Matt and Kim announced that they would be releasing a new single off of their forthcoming album Lightning and today that statement has come to fruition with the debut of their brand new song "Let's Go". Instead of just releasing the song for all to listen to the duo decided to release it in video form that has them lounging in the back while Pat The Roc shows off some impressive ball handling skills in the front. Last week New York jovial indie-pop duo Matt and Kim announced that they'd finished work on the follow-up to 20102s Sidewalks and that we'd hear the first track from it next week. Well next week is now this week and as promised, the first cut from the album Lightning is here, complete with an accompanying video of a dude doing some pretty slick basketball moves. Matt and Kim just premiered the video for "Let's Go", the first song off their upcoming album Lightning , out this fall. The video features Matt and Kim's ambidextrously adroit friend, Pat The Roc, who dribbles basketballs like a boss. Seriously he's dribbling three at one point. "Let's Go" has the same light-hearted spirit that Matt and Kim fans know and love. Slightly toned down compared to tracks like the popular "Daylight", the song choice displays their development as artists. Can't wait to hear what the rest of the album sounds like!
