The Walkmen are favorites around these parts, so we're pretty excited to see/hear some new stuff from their upcoming album Heaven , out June 5th. Trailer: title track starts at 3:50, which I've fast forwarded to here:

The Walkmen just shared a live performance of the title track from their upcoming album called Heaven with Pitchfork's +1 , which was recorded at Union Transfer on March 3, 2012. You can also hear an interview with some real deal stories about Philly as well as talk about the making of their new album. The video was directed and edited by Mark Zemel.

Last week , we told you about the new album, Heaven , from The Walkmen . This week, we get a video of the band performing the title track for said album. The stars are aligning for what's sounding like an excellent new Walkmen LP due this summer. Last week, the Walkmen announced the details of their new album Heaven , which I'm pretty much frothing at the mouth to hear right now. The band recently appeared on the Pitchfork.tv show "+1," which intersperses interviews with live footage, and it gives us a chance to hear them play the new album's title track at Philadelphia's Union Transfer. As previously reported , The Walkmen return on June 5th with their seventh studio album,  Heaven. You've already seen the album's official teaser trailer , and now  Pitchfork  reveals an interview with the band, along with a special performance of the titular track. Admittedly, it's a choice (and rather poppy) selection off the multi-layered LP, so check it out below. Heaven opens its gates June 5th via Fat Possum/Bella Union.
